The publication, The Centennial Atlas of Athens Co. OH, 1905 edition , reprinted, indicates that George Ewing Clark, a resident of Amesvil le, Athens Co. OH was the son of Henry Clark. Henry Clark was said t o have been reared by Hon. Thomas Ewing of Lancaster. Several of Sar ah and Obadiah Clark's children were adopted and/or raised by Senato r Thomas Ewing, brother to Sarah. It is logical to think that Henr y is part of this family.
The above-mentioned article states that Henry Clark died in 1849 enro ute to the California Gold Rush.
